With FREIGHT RATES, FUEL SURCHARGES, and CURRENCY fluctuations it is never possible to issue a pricing structure which has anything other than a very limited validity. Remember, all these charges can go down as well as up! As an example, in September 2008 a 20 foot container from central Wiltshire to Auckland, New Zealand, would have cost well under £2000. Similarly, shipping a Mitsubishi Shogun car to the same destination would have been under £1600. However, both these charges could reduce in the space of only one month if fuel surcharges, freight rates or exchange rates were more favourable.
